The TX Studio Creative Residency
On March 1st, we opened our doors to Dallas as a Natural Light Rental Studio with the intent of providing the Dallas’ creative community with their own place to create. Available for hourly rental, we are the first DFW natural light photography studio equipped with rolling black and white backdrops, seasonal paper rolls, and handmade tabletops.
Today, we are excited to announce the latest way we are fulfilling our mission by offering Dallas’ first ‘Creative Residency’ Studio Program.
Each month, this program will provide one creative individual with access to The TX Studio–free of charge.
We’ve only been operating two months and the overwhelming support from the creative community has already been remarkable. In turn, we want to show DFW that we care about quality, creative work–and we’re serious about investing in it.
The TX Studio is proud to announce that Allie Norado will be the first resident of this monthly program. Each resident receives 3 half-day shoots with access to both studios for free (valued at $1200). At the end of the year, the TX Studio will host a gallery event featuring the best of each resident’s work.
We found out that Allie Norado pooled funds with her friends to cover their total rental cost. They pulled off one of the most inspiring shoots we’ve had so far. After that, Allie approached us to see if we were doing any type of ambassador program. We have her to thank in part for inspiring the new residency.
The application process for the May Creative Residency is now open and available to the public here: thetxstudio.com/residency.
A new resident will be announced during the final week of each month.
Creative Resident ALEXANDRIA NORADO
I have a tendency to let my imagination roam, leading to impromptu shoots and the ability to passionately put myself into my work. I enjoy working with models/subjects who want more natural and candid shots that speak more than a thousand words. The greatest part of photography is that every detail leads up to telling a story, and I get to direct.
I tend to travel a lot, being in the field of Russian & Korean language has helped me broaden my photographic visuals and led to meeting many new and interesting subjects. When I'm not traveling I'm spending time with my cats.
