Frequently asked questions

+ Can I rent both studios at once?

Absolutely! If you would like to rent both studios at the same time, you'll have almost 2,000 square feet to create in. We offer half day and full day rentals for both studios. Contact us for more information and to secure your reservation.

+ When is the best time of day to shoot?

From February through November, there is even natural light pouring into each studio. If you prefer additional harsh light to shoot against, we suggest booking Studio I in the morning or late afternoon and Studio II in the morning. Our spaces our big enough that regardless of what type of light you need, you should be able to find it any time of day.

+ Can I shoot video in the TX Studio?

Absolutely! We do highly recommend, however, that you rent out both studios if you want to do a video shoot in order to maintain better control over your sound quality.

+ Can I show up early to set up for my shoot?

We do encourage you to show up fifteen minutes prior to your shoot. However, the studio may be occupied by another party up until your start time. If this is the case, you will need to wait until your set reservation time to enter the studio.

+ What happens if my shoot runs over my scheduled time?

If you are late leaving the studio or do not leave enough time to clean up, we will unfortunately have to charge you for an additional hour and/or a cleaning fee. Because we will often have back to back bookings, we ask that you make sure to remain aware of other photographers and leave enough time at the end of your reservation to clean up.

+ Does my studio reservation include any equipment?

Yes! If you're interested in learning what specifically comes with each of our studios, take a look through our studio guide. We do not provide any type of lighting or food and drink (other than Topo Chico), but you are welcome to bring in anything you will need during your shoot. Please feel free to email us if you have any other questions about our equipment.

+ Do the Studios have access to a bathroom?

Yes! Studio II has access to a bathroom just down the hallway through the interior door. Studio I is not far away from the same bathroom - just go out the front door and through one of the main entrances to Tyler Station on either side of The TX Studio. The bathroom is to the left of the Studios.

+ What if I need to reschedule my reservation?

While we do not offer refunds for cancellations, we can help you reschedule your reservation for a fee of $50. We ask that you give us 72 hrs. notice in order to honor this rescheduling fee. Otherwise you will need to make a new booking.

+ Is any type of shoot allowed at the TX Studio?

We do not allow any nude photography. Because we are located near a main entrance to Tyler Station, we ask that you remain mindful of your privacy as well as the privacy of your clients when you book our studios. We also do not allow shoots involving glitter, confetti, or fireworks of any kind.
